Kingston is really into his prayers at night. Here was tonight's prayer:
Dear God, Thank you so much for today. Thank you for Mommy and Daddy. Thank you for Mimi and Pops. Thank you for Gimme Mama and Grandpa. Thank you for Daddy going to work and then coming home to play. Thank you for Ella and Jude. Thank you for (aunt) Amy not giving Ella/Jude a spanking or time out. Thank you for Miss Rachel. Thank you for Miss Rachel's house. Thank you for Miss Rachel's pool. Thank you for Miss Rachel's slide and that it wasn't too hot to slide. Thank you for Mommy and Daddy. Jesus name, Amen.
***The specifics of his prayers usually coincide with where we've been in the last few days or who we've been with! Just know that there are so many of you who are making a positive impact on the life of our three year old. Thanks!

Yo, Ho, Ho! Happy Birthday Jude!
Cousin Jude celebrated his 3rd birthday in style with a Pirate Party! Even Mimi and Pops got in the spirit of things by dressing as pirates! Kingston was super excited about the party and kept asking all week if it was time to go. Fun, Food, and Fireworks (along with a treasure hunt) were the highlights.

Farmer Kingston
Here's the first crop of the year! Kingston was very excited to find out that "his" green beans had finally arrived! We have been very patient this spring waiting for them to grow. We had a scare of no beans, cucumbers or flowers at one point because the neighborhood cat decided our flower bed made the best litter box. With that problem solved we have watched very carefully for each new growth. I have been so excited to watch Kingston's excitement about nature. I am reminded of how my Grandpa Griffin used to plant a huge garden in front of our house and we would eat fresh vegetables all summer. He was such a special man. I'm glad that I'm able to pass on his love of gardening to my son!

Kingston at Night
Kingston is very funny when he gets sleepy. Tonight when I went to pick him up at Bible class he was pretending to be Dr. Bubba (his pediatrician). But first he was Dr. Pepper! Then his teacher said after the bible lesson he told her he needed to check his email. He reported back that yes Jesus was on the boat (the story was about Jesus walking on the water). In the car he was retelling himself everything that had happened in class. Yes, our child talks to himself!!

Curious George Comes to the Museum
Catching bubbles outside.
Sorting fruit in the George Market.
Playing shy with George.
We all went to the museum last night to welcome Curious George. There were lots of cool new things to play with, but there were so many people there we will have to explore later. Kingston was fascinated with the fire truck (that's always there). He even put on a fireman's hat AND left it on! We also had banana splits. However, Kingston did not get to enjoy one because he had not eaten his dinner. So sad for him, but Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the treat!

Too Much Cinderella?
You know your little boy has watched too much Cinderella when out of the blue he turns to his Mimi and says "Mimi, you don't have your makeup on!" He insisted Mimi put some on. This was after we had been outside at Sliver Dollar City all day! This is also coming from a child who's Mommy wears as little make up as possible! We can only blame this observation on the many hours watched of Cinderella.
Silver Dollar City Day Two- Day of Veggies
Kingston is taking Mimi for a ride!
We made a bouncy ball. Kingston did a good job being patient.
We loved the sand tables. Kingston probably could have stayed here all day!
We decided to brave SDC for another day on Tuesday. It was the day of veggie tales. Kingston wanted to go back to the Veggie Tale show when we first got there. The show didn't start until 11:30, so we had to talk him into riding some rides. We finally made it to the show, and it was like Kingston had never seen it before! As soon as it was over he was ready to watch it again. We did manage to get in a few other activities, but we had to watch Veggie Tales one more time before we left the park!
We ate by the big rocking chair. Kingston and Mimi were in charge of setting up the "Best Easter Party Ever" while Pops and I ordered food. He was wanting to make special deliveries (napkins) to us. Each time he wanted to leave the table, he would yell at me to "shake my head yes!" I'm sure the people around us didn't appreciate the yelling, but it was a great game for Kingston and it helped get all his wigglies out running back and forth!
Kingston wanted to make sure he was still big enough to ride Fire in the Hole. He rode with Mimi this time and had a very successful roller coaster ride!
This is our second visit to see Bob and Larry. Kingston is playing shy.
It was so hot on Tuesday! We let Kingston run around in the water fountains. At one point he was laying on the ground on top of the holes trying to get the fountain to spray him! That boy was so wet! He had to change clothes before we could take him to see Veggie Tales for a third time!!!

Night Time Nightmare!
Sunday night, Monday morning Kingston came down with an awful fit of coughing. He slept a total of 1.5 hours. All of you mommies know that means I slept even less. My poor parents were in the room with us, so they didn't get any sleep either!!! What a mess! Thank goodness my parents were there to help me, because I am not a nice person when I don't get any sleep. My dad took Kingston and I to Walgreens at 4 am to get $25 in medicine! The kid is a trooper though, he still wanted to go to Silver Dollar City Monday morning.
Silver Dollar City Day One
We headed off to Silver Dollar City on Monday. It was very overcast and raining. Mimi and Kingston braved a few rides and we had a visit with Curious George and Bob and Larry. Kingston LOVED the Veggie Tale show. We had to convince him to go at first, but once it started the look on his face was priceless!
Kingston is singing Rain, Rain Go Away!
Firsts for Kingston
Kingston had his first minature golf experience while we were at Big Cedar with Mimi and Pops. He did pretty well for his first try at using a putter. His favorite part was putting the ball in the hole (which was usually done with his hands!).
We also had our first trip down the Lazy River and played in the pool. Mimi and I tried to "teach" him how to swim. Not so successful. Mimi did get him to go down the slide at the pool. At first he whined, but after Mimi showed him how, he was very excited to go all by himself! Way to go Mimi!!!! (I know Mimi's glad that I don't have any pictures of her sliding!!!)
